Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires

The Youth Olympic Games are currently taking place in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.

The Youth Olympic Games are an elite sporting event for young people aged 15 to 18 from all over the world.

The sports programme is based on that of the Olympic Games. In addition, the programme also includes exciting new formats, such as 3-on-3 basketball.

This year over 3,500 athletes are competing. The Youth Olympic Games are held every four years.

New Zealand have won three gold medals so far. Dylan McCullough’s won the triathlon and Connor Bell won the discus. The Women’s Sevens Rugby team also won gold!

Finn Anderson won silver in the C1 Canoe Sports event.
