A British choir with an average age of 94 has been officially named the world’s oldest choir by Guinness World Records.

The group, called the Prime Timers, consists of 17 members aged 87 to 99. They achieved the record during their Christmas concert on December 19, where a Guinness World Records judge confirmed their accomplishment.

The choir members all live in seven care homes operated by Runwood Homes, located in Stratford-Upon-Avon, England. Their record-breaking performance took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel’s Grand Ballroom. The concert included a special guest appearance by singer Tony Christie, who joined the Prime Timers to sing “Amarillo” and “Silent Night.”

This achievement highlights the vibrant energy and talent of the elderly singers, proving that music and joy know no age limits. The Prime Timers’ accomplishment is a heartwarming reminder of the power of community and the lifelong love of music.
