Trent Boult secures hat-trick for Black Caps

November 11, 2018

Trent Boult has become only the third New Zealand to get a hat-trick in a One Day International.

The world’s fourth-ranked ODI bowler ripped through Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez in his second over.

Boult joined Danny Morrison (against India in Napier in 1994) and Shane Bond (against Australia in Hobart in 2007) as New Zealand hat-trick takers with the 46th occurrence in ODI cricket.

Boult didn’t play in the T20 games and had only arrived in Pakistan three days beforehand.

The Black Caps won the game, however they have since lost the second game.
