Teen Basketball Prodigy Shatters Guinness World Record

Maddison Neale, a 17-year-old high school senior from Parker, Colo., achieved an extraordinary feat during her lunch break by sinking nine consecutive half-court shots, breaking the Guinness World Record.

Neale, determined to make a mark, practiced rigorously after recovering from an ankle injury that temporarily halted her basketball career.

Executing this remarkable feat just six minutes before the lunch bell rang, Neale surpassed the previous record set by Xu Changqing of China, who managed eight consecutive half-court shots in 2020.

Despite a challenging recovery, Neale’s perseverance and dedication paid off, earning her a place in the Guinness World Records.
With her sights set on more records, including the most half-court shots in one minute and other basketball-related achievements, Neale continues to demonstrate her prowess on the court.
