Taranaki has clinched the National Provincial Championship title after an intense final against Hawke’s Bay, winning 22-19.

In front of a packed home crowd at Yarrow Stadium, Taranaki secured their first NPC title since 2014 and only their second ever.

The match saw early action with Taranaki taking a 12-0 lead. Hawke’s Bay launched a comeback but ultimately fell short as Taranaki’s defense held strong, and they survived one last effort from Hawke’s Bay.

The win was a special moment for Taranaki, as they celebrated their championship victory.
