Sergio Garcia wins U.S. Masters

April 10, 2017

Spanish golfer Sergio Garcia has beaten England’s Justin Rose in a playoff to win the U.S. Masters.

Garcia was playing his 73rd major and has finished runner up four times, and completed the victory with a 12 foot birdie putt.

Garcia says when he was younger he always thought he’d win at Augusta.

He becomes the third Spaniard to wear the Green Jacket, joining Jose Maria Olazabal, who also triumphed twice at Augusta, in 1994 and 1999.

Sergio Garcia was presented with his Green Jacket at the end of the winning the tournament.
