Paris has unveiled the Olympic rings on the Eiffel Tower, marking 50 days until the Summer Games.

The rings, made of recycled French steel, are displayed on the south side of the 135-year-old landmark, each measuring 9 meters in diameter.

The Paris Olympics will feature iconic venues, with events running from July 26 to August 11. Athletes will parade on boats along the Seine River during the opening ceremony. Volleyball matches will be held at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, attracting nearly 13,000 fans.

Olympic and Paralympic medals will contain iron pieces from the tower. The rings, weighing 30 tons, were mounted using cranes and will be illuminated nightly with 100,000 LED bulbs through the Paralympic Games, which start on August 28. The Paralympics will feature 4400 athletes from 180 countries competing in 22 sports near famous Parisian landmarks.
