Kia ora, welcome to Term Four.

We have covered our fair share of topics this year, but, for this term we are covering one that I am so excited about. I have called it ‘Milli’s Top Ten’. Throughout this topic, I am going to rank from 10-1 different subjects, starting off with my Top 10 Songs.

We all know the good old combo that never lets us down, headphones with music blasting when you are on the bus home from school. Then, the best song in your playlist enters your ears, and you are using all of your might to not sing along. So you stick to humming instead.

But let’s be real, finding those perfect tracks to add to your playlist can be a bit tricky. That’s where I come in! I’ve put together Milli’s Top Ten Songs. This is a handpicked list of absolute bangers that will have you tapping your feet, nodding your head, and maybe even lip-syncing. Whether you’re into catchy pop, country music, or beats that get you pumped, this list has something for everyone.

10th place: Pink Skies by Zach Bryan
Firstly, in tenth place, we have “Pink Skies” by Zach Bryan. It is all about good vibes and taking in the simple things. It’s got a laid-back, country sound that’s great for a chill day.

9th place: Yellow by Coldplay
Coldplay’s “Yellow” is such a beautiful song. Released in 2000, it’s slow and emotional, but so full of heart. It’s perfect for when you’re feeling a bit thoughtful or just want something mellow to listen to.

8th place: Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield
This song is the definition of a feel-good anthem! “Unwritten” has been around since 2004, but it still makes me feel like I can conquer anything. The lyrics “Live your life with arms wide open, today is where your book begins ” spreads such a good message while being in one of the most exhilarating choruses ever.

7th place: Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter
You must be living under a rock if you haven’t heard Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso”. She brings the energy with this fast-paced, pop beat that’s perfect for when you need a little boost. Whether you’re getting ready for school or just feeling pumped, this track is a must.

6th place: Rather be by Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne
“Rather be” is pure joy. Released in 2014, it’s got such a fun beat that makes you want to dance. The lyrics “When I’m with you, there’s no place I’d rather be” are sweet and catchy and is the perfect way to tie up a song, leaving the best till last. It even won a Grammy!

5th place: Cyclone by Sticky Fingers
Sticky Fingers delivers a chill, reggae-inspired sound with “Cyclone.” It’s perfect for when you want something relaxed but upbeat. This song is perfect for a chill out, or a rewind.

4th place: Where is the Love? by Black Eyed Peas
This classic from 2003 does everything right. It’s all about spreading love and making the world better, being a catchy song while spreading a good message. The chorus is one of the best out there, being upbeat and just at the right beat. Others like it too! “Where is the love?” on spotify has over 1 billion plays.

3rd place: Pink + White by Frank Ocean
Frank Ocean is a genius, and “Pink + White” proves it. It’s such a smooth, laid-back song, with immaculate vocals throughout. It’s been around since 2016, but it never gets old!

2nd place: Saturn by SZA
