Meet Hari Budha Magar, a brave British Army veteran who climbed all the way to the summit of Mount Everest, the tallest mountain in the world. What makes this achievement even more extraordinary is that Hari lost both his legs while serving in Afghanistan. But that didn’t stop him from making history!

Hari, who is 43 years old and lives in Canterbury, England, wanted to inspire others and show that disabilities should never hold us back from reaching our dreams. With the help of a team of Nepalese climbers, led by Krish Thapa, a former Gurkha and mountain troop leader, Hari embarked on this thrilling adventure.

Reaching the summit of Mount Everest wasn’t easy for Hari. He faced many challenges along the way, and it was much tougher than he expected. But he never gave up! He had to keep pushing forward, no matter how much it hurt or how long it took. And guess what? He made it to the top!

When Hari stepped on an improvised explosive device (IED) in Afghanistan, he thought his life was over. But he didn’t let his disability define him. Instead, he took up skiing, golfing, cycling, and climbing, which helped him regain his confidence and show the world that anything is possible.

Hari’s incredible journey reminds us that we should never give up on our dreams, no matter how big they are or what challenges we face. He wants to change the way people think about disabilities and inspire everyone to climb their own mountains, both literally and metaphorically.

Now that Hari has conquered Mount Everest, he and his team will take a well-deserved rest before returning home to England. We applaud Hari for his bravery, determination, and the amazing example he has set for people of all ages. His story shows us that with a positive attitude and determination, we can overcome any obstacles and achieve great things!

So, kids, remember Hari’s incredible adventure and never be afraid to chase your dreams. With a little bit of courage and a lot of determination, you can reach for the stars, just like Hari did on Mount Everest!
