Prime Minister Chris Luxon has been announced as the newest contestant on Dancing with the Stars 2025!
Despite having one of the busiest schedules in the country, Luxon has managed to carve out time in his day for dance rehearsals. Sources say he’s transformed part of the Beehive into a mini dance studio – complete with mirrors, a pole, and, of course, some very sparkly shoes.
“I believe in trying new things and stepping out of my comfort zone,” Luxon said with a grin. “Plus, who wouldn’t want a shot at the glitterball trophy?”
And he’s not doing it all alone! Luxon has revealed that he’s planning to seek advice from Deputy Prime Minister David Seymour, who showed off his own fancy footwork during a previous season of the show. Seymour’s high-energy routines and quirky moves left a lasting impression – and now Luxon hopes to pick up a few tricks from Deputy Prime Minister’s unique bag of dance skills.
“I’ll be asking David for some tips – he’s got some, let’s say, memorable moves,” Luxon joked. “Hopefully, he can teach me how to not fall over.”
Will he cha-cha to victory or trip over his own two feet? Only time will tell!
One thing’s for sure – this season of Dancing with the Stars just got a whole lot more interesting – the Prime Minister is about to boogie!
