Leopard enters school in India

July 24, 2015

Teachers and students of a private school in Chikkamagaluru, India have been left shocked after a leopard entered the grounds of their school.

Three people have been injured after the animal pounced on  them before treading into school premises.

They managed to get the leopard locked inside a room with a cage at the door while they waited for a team of veterinarians to arrive.

The leopard was spotted earlier in the morning in the heart of the city before it later moved to the school. A person, who spotted the animal in the city, suffered minor injuries as it pounced on him in the morning.

The school management has declared a holiday and sent the students home. As the news of the leopard entering the school premises spread, hundreds of people gathered around the school. The police were busy managing the large crowds.
