Jonelle Price wins Badminton

May 7, 2018

Kiwi equestrian athlete Jonelle Price has won the biggest tournament of her career by riding Classic Moet to victory at the Badminton Horse Trials.

She became the first female to hoist the prestigous Badminton Trophy since Lucinda Fredericks in 2007.

Price and her horse, Classic Moet, rode to victory with a superb cross country round yesterday. She managed to hold off and complete an error-free show jumping round.

Defending champ and fellow kiwi, Andrew Nicholson and his horse Nereo, withdrew before the final phase.
