The Zespri AIMS Games is a premier sports event designed to encourage young athletes participation and to provide a platform for school-aged children to showcase their skills and develop their athletic abilities.

The competition is specifically targeted at athletes in Year 7 and Year 8 (ages 11-13) from schools across New Zealand and some have also come from international schools.

The event includes both team sports and individual events. For example, there are team-based sports like rugby and basketball, as well as individual events such as swimming races and athletics.

The AIMS Games emphasises educational values such as sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal development, but It also aims to provide a balanced experience that supports both athletic and personal growth.

The event is supported by the local community and businesses, including major sponsors like Zespri, which contributes to the smooth operation and success of the games.

The Association of Intermediate Middle Schooling (AIMS) refers to a group or organisation focused on the educational and developmental needs of students in the intermediate or middle school years.

Aim games are an excellent way to enhance precision and coordination, offering players a fun and engaging challenge. They not only sharpen reflexes but also provide a platform for improving hand-eye coordination through targeted practice.
