Welcome to the Kiwi Kids Homework page for 28th MAy - 1st June 2018.

This page is designed to help you complete your weekly homework tasks. Just scroll down the page over the week and complete all the tasks that need to be completed.

This term our topic is MY COMMUNITY. Over the course of this term, you are going to complete activities that teach you about your community.

This week, you are going to choose a Maori Legend from your community and create a story board for a movie.
To complete the task we suggest you follow the following steps.
1. Find a Maori legend about your community. You could ask your teacher, school librarian or parents to help.
2. Read about the legend and then pick out the 6 main parts of the story.
3. Put those onto your storyboard in your homework booklet.
4. As an extra, you could make a short video from your storyboard. If you do please send a copy of the YouTube link to

Over the course of this term you are going to complete activities to help you find out more about your community.

You must now complete the boxes in your homework booklet.

Firstly, use a dictionary to help you write down the definition of the. CLICK HERE

Secondly, find as many synonyms and antonyms for that word. Remember a synonym is a word that means the same and an antonym is a word that means the opposite.


This week you must record your score for the Kiwi Kids News Quiz.

The quiz is live on the website on Friday mornings. Remember that all of the questions for this quiz come from the Kiwi Kids News website so make sure you have spent a little time looking through the events this week.
