Girl Guide biscuits to go!

May 14, 2018

Girl Guiding New Zealand has announced that they will stop selling its famous biscuits next year.

The group has been selling the iconic biscuit for more than six decades.

Biscuit sales have helped keep Girl Guides funded for more than half of its 111-year history.

Every year, nearly 900,000 packets of the vanilla-flavoured biscuit proved popular with the people of New Zealand.

Its chief executive Susan Coleman said the organisation wanted to allow members and volunteers to focus more on its core purpose and programmes.

The biscuits will continue to be manufactured this year and are expected to remain available for sale until early 2019.
