Dog with the world’s longest tongue

In a delightful turn of events, a dog from Louisiana has officially earned a spot in the Guinness World Records for having the longest tongue on a living dog. Meet Zoey, a lovable mix of Labrador and German shepherd, whose tongue measures a whopping 5 inches long.

Zoey’s incredible achievement was made official after a veterinarian carefully measured the length from the tip of her snout to the tip of her tongue. Her proud owners, Sadie and Drew Williams of Metairie, couldn’t be happier with their furry friend’s record-breaking tongue.

The Williams family welcomed Zoey into their home when she was just a tiny pup of 6 weeks old. Even at such a young age, they noticed something special about her tongue—it was much longer than expected. As Zoey grew, her tongue remained remarkably big compared to the rest of her body.

“We thought surely she’d grow into it, but she obviously didn’t. She still has an enormous tongue compared to her body,” shared Sadie Williams in an interview with Guinness World Records.
