Bronze for NZ at Paralympic winter Games

March 12, 2018

The New Plymouth skier Corey Peters has won New Zealand’s first medal at the PyeongChang Paralympic Winter Games.

Peters has won a bronze medal in the Men’s Downhill Sitting ski race but is hoping to add to his telly as he has another four events.

Following a spinal cord injury in a motocross accident in 2009, Peters’ impairment means he races in Sport Class LW12-1.

Peters won a silver medal in the Giant Slalom four years ago in Sochi.
