Breakers looking to make history

January 22, 2013

The New Zealand Breakers basketball team are looking to make history this weekend as they try and equal the club record of 8 victories in a row.

The NZ Breakers have been superb in 2013, winning 7 in a row, including a 4 games stretch with games away from home.

This Thursday evening they play Sydney and if they win that they will go for a record nine wins against Wollongong on Saturday.

It will be far from easy with Sydney the only side other than Perth to beat the Breakers this season.

In fact, if the Breakers beat Sydney at the North Shore Events Centre on Thursday night, New Zealand and Perth will stand alone as the only teams in the competition with winning records.
