All Blacks hammer Samoa

June 18, 2017

The All Blacks have hammered Samoa 78-0 in their first test of 2017.

The 12-try victory at Eden Park sent a strong message to the British and Irish Lions of what to expect in the first test next weekend.

Beauden Barrett started the scoring in the first half with a 95m team effort.

He grabbed a second try in the second half while Anton Lienert-Brown, Ardie Savea (2), Sonny Bill Williams, Israel Dagg, Julian Savea, Codie Taylor, Vaea Fifita, TJ Perenara and Sam Cane all crossed for the All Blacks.

Barrett slotted seven conversions, while replacement first five-eighth Lima Sopoaga kicked two.

The test between the sides had been organised to help the All Blacks prepare for the British and Irish Lions series.
