Black Ferns win Canadian 7’s title

May 15, 2018

The New Zealand women’s rugby sevens team has won the Canadian 7’s title.

The Black Ferns steamrolled the Australian team to win by a record 46-0. ‘

It is the most points New Zealand has ever scored against Australia and the largest winning margin against their trans-Tasman rivals.

The Black Ferns Sevens scored eight tries and led 22-nil at the break.

Australia have a four-point lead in the series heading into the final round in Paris next month but New Zealand have now won the last two tournaments as well as the Commonwealth Games medal.
