Apple Unveils AI Emojis

Apple introduced new AI features called “Apple Intelligence” at WWDC 2024, enabling users to create custom emojis and images.

These features offer exciting ways to personalize digital communication.

One of the standout features is the creation of custom emojis, named “Genmoji.” During the keynote, Apple demonstrated how a simple prompt like “smiley relaxing wearing cucumbers” generates a yellow smiley face emoji with cucumbers over its eyes. Users can swipe through different versions if they don’t like the initial design. This feature provides a fun and flexible way to create unique emojis, similar to Google’s Emoji Kitchen.

Another innovative tool is the “Image Playground,” allowing users to create images within various apps or directly from the Image Playground app. The examples shown by Apple are cartoony, likely to avoid the creation of realistic and potentially misleading AI-generated images.

These new AI capabilities enhance user creativity, making digital interactions more personalized and engaging.
