Apple are changing their hang up button

Guess what’s happening with the next update to iPhones? The red button that you tap to end phone calls is going to move a little bit! So, if you’re used to tapping it in a certain spot, be ready for a small change.

Right now, when you’re on a phone call, the “End” button is right in the middle towards the bottom of the screen. But when the new update, called iOS 17, comes out in the fall, that button will move to the right side of the screen. Some other things will move around too, like the “Mute” and “Speaker” buttons switching places, and even the “FaceTime” and “Keyboard” options will switch!

People who have tried out early versions of iOS 17 have been talking about these changes on social media. Some think it might take a little while to get used to the new setup because our thumbs are used to tapping in certain spots.

But don’t worry, Apple is testing all these changes with some users before they officially release the update. This helps them fix any issues and make sure everything works well.

By the way, the new iOS 17 update will also bring some other cool things, like better auto-correct for typing, a new journal app, and even a feature that turns voicemail messages into text so you can read them instead of listening. So, lots of exciting stuff is coming!
