Black Caps Test Match stopped by Rain for Third Day

The test cricket match between Afghanistan and New Zealand has been abandoned for the third consecutive day due to rain and a wet outfield.

Heavy overnight rain made it impossible for play to begin on Wednesday, as the ground remained too soggy.

The match, being held near India’s capital, New Delhi, is Afghanistan’s third test match this year, following previous games against Ireland and Sri Lanka. Afghanistan cannot host international matches at home, which is why this game is being played in India. Unfortunately, constant rain in the region has prevented any play over the first three scheduled days.

The toss has been moved to 9 a.m. on Thursday, weather permitting. This test match was meant to start New Zealand’s three-month tour of the subcontinent, but the poor weather has so far kept both teams off the field.
