Darius Visser, a cricketer from Samoa, made history by hitting six sixes in a single over during a T20 International match against Vanuatu on Tuesday.

This remarkable achievement happened during a T20 World Cup regional qualifier in Apia, Samoa. Visser’s powerful performance helped Samoa win the match by 10 runs, with Visser himself scoring an impressive 132 runs from just 62 balls.

The 28-year-old cricketer’s record-breaking over came against Vanuatu’s bowler Nalin Nipiko, who bowled a nine-ball over that included three no balls and one dot ball. In total, the over went for a record 39 runs, marking the first time in men’s T20I history that more than 36 runs were scored in a single over.

This feat has only been accomplished by three other players before Visser, including India’s Yuvraj Singh, who hit England’s Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over during the 2007 T20 World Cup. Broad later described the experience as tough but ultimately beneficial to his growth as a bowler.
