A surprising incident unfolded in Taiwan recently, where a 64-year-old woman experienced strange sounds and sensations in her ear for several days. The source of her discomfort? A tiny spider had taken up residence in her ear canal.

The woman, who visited the hospital in April, was suffering from a sensation of movement inside her ear, accompanied by clicking and rustling sounds. These unwelcome disturbances kept her awake for multiple nights, leading her to seek medical assistance.

Upon examination, doctors made a startling discovery—a small spider had made its way into the woman’s ear canal. To make matters even more intriguing, they also found the spider’s discarded exoskeleton inside her ear.

To stop the woman’s discomfort and remove her unexpected guest, doctors used a suction tube. Fortunately, the spider was quite small, measuring only 2 to 3 millimeters, which explained why the woman did not experience any pain from its presence.
