Max Verstappen continues his dominant run in the 2023 Formula One season, clinching his record-breaking 10th consecutive win at the Italian Grand Prix. Verstappen led his Red Bull team mate Sergio Perez to a one-two victory in front of Ferrari’s passionate home crowd at Monza’s “Temple of Speed.”

New Zealand’s Liam Lawson, driving for AlphaTauri, finished in 11th place in the race.

Verstappen’s triumph not only extended his remarkable winning streak but also marked Red Bull’s 15th consecutive victory, setting another Formula One record that appears poised to continue. Carlos Sainz of Ferrari, who started from pole position, claimed his first podium finish of the season by securing third place.

Verstappen’s victory further solidified his position at the top of the championship standings, now leading Perez by 145 points with eight races remaining. Red Bull continues to dominate the constructors’ championship, leading Mercedes by 310 points, with Ferrari moving up to third.

Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner congratulated Verstappen on his historic achievement, stating, “Well done mate, you are on your own, that is history.”
