Burger king sued for whopper

Burger King is set to face a lawsuit in the United States over the size of its Whopper burger. Plaintiffs allege that the fast-food chain misled customers by depicting the Whopper on its menu as larger than it actually is.

They claim that the burger in advertisements has a thicker patty and ingredients that “overflow over the bun.” Burger King attempted to have the case dismissed, arguing that it was not obligated to serve food that precisely matched the pictures.

However, the US District Judge ruled that the case should proceed to determine what “reasonable people think.” Other fast-food chains, including McDonald’s and Wendy’s, are also facing similar legal actions in the US.

Earlier this year, Taco Bell was sued for allegedly selling pizzas and wraps with significantly less filling than advertised.
