A unique ‘UPDWAH’ number plate, referencing the slogan ‘Up the Wahs’ (Go the Warriors), is currently being auctioned on TradeMe. All proceeds from the auction will go toward supporting children’s education through the Hokianga Awhi Trust.

Kyle Brown, a member of the trust, decided to sell the number plate three weeks ago to raise funds for the trust. The Hokianga Awhi Trust has been supporting children in the Hokianga area by putting them through boarding school. The trust aims to provide opportunities for children who may not have had access to them otherwise, regardless of their academic or sporting achievements.

The auction, closing on Sunday at 8 pm, has already raised more than $4,000. Brown’s goal is to raise $6,000, and One NZ CEO Jason Paris has pledged to match the amount raised up to $10,000.

This initiative not only supports children’s education but also demonstrates the sense of community and support among Warriors fans and the broader New Zealand community.
