Distant Black hole found

Astronomers have used the Webb Space Telescope to find the farthest black hole yet.

It is located in a galaxy that formed only 570 million years after the Big Bang. This is closer to the beginning of the universe than the previous record holder discovered in 2021.

The telescope has also spotted other black holes that may be even closer to the Big Bang. However, more observations are needed for confirmation.

This black hole is active but relatively small, about 9 million times the mass of our sun. The team behind the discovery believes there are many more hidden black holes waiting to be found.

The Webb Space Telescope, launched in 2021, is the largest and most powerful telescope in space.
