Zelensky getting help from other countries

Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, has been on a mission to get help in Ukraine’s war against Russia.

Zelensky made a grand entrance at the G7 summit in Japan by arriving in Hiroshima on a French government plane after a stopover in Saudi Arabia. Zelensky’s unexpected visit led the G7 leaders to release an early statement condemning Russia and warning against “economic coercion” used by Beijing against several nations.

Just hours before Zelensky’s arrival, the United States announced plans to train Ukrainian pilots on American-made F-16 fighter jets and allow allies to provide advanced warplanes to Kyiv. While Russia condemned this move, Zelensky hailed it as a historic moment.

Zelensky wasted no time once in Japan, diving into one-on-one meetings with various world leaders, including British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Although the effectiveness of previous sanctions against Russia remains uncertain, the visual impact of world leaders standing alongside Zelensky sends a strong message to Moscow that they are united and serious about the situation.

The G7 summit continues with hopes of finding practical solutions to address the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and foster international cooperation.
