Air New Zealand has announced that it will be replacing its current uniforms and is looking for new designs. The airline has asked people who are interested in designing new uniforms to submit their expressions of interest. The new uniforms will be worn by cabin crew, ground staff, and pilots in 2025.

The current uniforms, designed by Dame Trelise Cooper, have been worn by Air New Zealand workers for the past 12 years. The airline says it is time to update the uniforms to align with its vision for the future. Air New Zealand wants to make sure the new uniform accurately reflects the business, the people, and the country.

Air New Zealand is also revising its grooming standards as the uniform is refreshed. This follows the airline’s decision to reverse a ban on visible tattoos in 2019.

The airline says it will work to ensure the new uniform reflects the diverse requirements of its people. The EOI is open to all New Zealand designers from today until Sunday, May 14. After that, Air New Zealand will invite selected designers to take part in a competitive pitch process before selecting the final design.

The designer who is chosen will be announced later this year. So if you have a great idea for a new uniform, now is the time to put it forward!
