Over 100 skydivers over the age of 60 came together in California to break not one, but two world records!
The group, called Skydivers Over Sixty, organized the attempt at Skydive Perris. On their fourth try, the 101 jumpers successfully formed a snowflake formation in mid-air. This broke the previous record set by a group of 75 skydivers over the age of 60 in Illinois back in 2018.
But they didn’t stop there! The following day, 95 skydivers completed a sequential formation. This means that they changed their formation in the middle of their freefall. They beat the previous record of 57 for this type of formation.
Dan Brodsky-Chenfeld, who organized the skydiving team, said they are submitting their records to Guinness World Records for official certification. This means that if everything checks out, they will officially be recognized as world record holders!
It just goes to show that age is just a number and it’s never too late to try something new and exciting!
