The Black caps have kept their chances alive in the T20 cricket series against Sri Lanka with a big win in the second game in Dunedin.

The first game was a close one, with Sri Lanka winning in a super over, so a win for them in this game would have won them the three-match series. But New Zealand was determined not to let that happen.

New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl first. Sri Lanka was doing well, scoring 91 runs for two wickets in the 11th over. But then, they lost their next eight wickets very quickly, getting only 161 runs in total.

New Zealand’s bowler Adam Milne was the star of the match, taking 5 wickets for 26 runs in his four overs. This was his best performance in international T20 cricket and the third-best by any New Zealand bowler in T20 internationals. Other New Zealand bowlers, including Ben Lister, Henry Shipley, Rachin Ravindra, and Jimmy Neesham also took wickets.

New Zealand then got off to a flying start, with Chad Bowes hitting 31 runs in just 15 balls. Tim Seifert continued the attack and scored 79 runs not out, including six sixes. Captain Tom Latham also batted well, finishing unbeaten on 20 runs. New Zealand won the game by nine wickets, with 32 balls still left to play.

Adam Milne was named player of the match for his excellent bowling performance. The third and final match of the series will take place in Queenstown on Saturday, and both teams will be hoping to win and take the series.
