The leader of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis, is currently receiving medical therapy in a hospital in Rome, Italy. The 86-year-old Pope has been experiencing some difficulty in breathing but the Vatican has confirmed that he is not suffering from Covid-19.

Pope Francis is very grateful for all the messages of love and support he has received from people all over the world. Although this is a busy time of year for the Pope, with many events and services scheduled ahead of Easter weekend, he remains in good spirits.

His closest staff, including security, are with him at the hospital. Pope Francis has remained active despite his recent ailments, and he has undertaken trips abroad and presided over his weekly general audience in St. Peter’s Square in Rome.

Due to mobility problems related to his knee, the pontiff has been using a wheelchair in recent months, and he underwent surgery to treat a colon problem in 2021. Pope Francis has previously mentioned that he may follow in the footsteps of his predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI, who stepped down voluntarily due to ill health.

For now, we wish the Pope a speedy recovery and hope he feels better soon so he can continue his duties as the leader of the Catholic Church.
