The colourful and joyful Hindu festival of Holi has been celebrated all over India and around the world.

Holi is known as the festival of love, colours, and spring. People come together to throw coloured powder and water at each other in celebration.

This festival lasts for two days and is also a celebration of the Hindu god Krishna and the legend of Holika and Prahlad. When Krishna was a boy, he loved to throw coloured water at people, and the coloured powder is a reference to this.

The story of Holika and Prahlad reminds us that good always triumphs over evil.

Unfortunately, some parts of the world had to cancel their celebrations this year due to coronavirus restrictions in their countries.

The festival marks the beginning of spring, a time of new life and love. Holi is celebrated on the last full moon of the lunar month, which falls on March 8th this year. Children and adults alike look forward to this time of year to celebrate and spread joy and happiness with their loved ones.
