The Kiwi Kids News Short Story Competition is open to all writers in New Zealand in Years 5 through to 8.

Your short story can be no longer than 650 words and can be on whatever topic you like.

Entry Rules
1. Entry costs $5 per person.
2. One entry per person.
3. 650 words maximum.
4. Entries close on 2nd September 5pm.
5. Entries must be original and not used in previous competitions.
6. Submitted stories maybe published on the Kiwi Kids News website.

Upon purchase you will receive an email which will included detailed entry instructions and a unique entry code.

Only entries that have paid and include the unique code will be judged.

Judging
The judges decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
Winners will be notified via email.

Prizes
Year 7/8 – 1st prize is $100, 2nd prize is $50, 3rd prize is $25.
Year 5/6 – 1st prize is $100, 2nd prize is $50, 3rd prize is $25.
Money will be in the form of a Prezzy Card.
