Remember the space probe that landed on a distant comet recently? Well that probe has run out of battery power.
The Philae lander sent data back to Earth but ran out of battery power causing the probe to power down into standby mode.
The loss of power was caused by a lack of light. Philae is pressed up against a cliff covered in shadows so it cannot get enough light on its solar panels to recharge the battery.
The probe was supposed to be anchored down but has bounced from its original location into a shadowed area.
The European Space Agency says the robot may have made its last contact with Earth, at least for a while.
Researchers hope the probe can recharge soon and continue its work analysing the comet.
